The starting point
This project is a reimplementation of a Texas Instruments design. It is an exercise in understanding and translating an existing audio architecture, rather than claiming an original invention.
The audio section of a robot: an array of eight microphones, an RP2040 microcontroller and a digital amplifier. A reimplementation based on a Texas Instruments design.
This project is a reimplementation of a Texas Instruments design. It is an exercise in understanding and translating an existing audio architecture, rather than claiming an original invention.
I designed the schematic in KiCad for the audio subsystem, bringing together the eight-microphone array, RP2040 microcontroller and digital amplifier.
The schematic brings together three parts of the robot’s audio section: the microphone array, the RP2040 and the digital amplifier.
